Who We Are

CFUW is a national, bilingual, independent organization striving to promote equality, social justice, fellowship and life-long learning for women and girls.

CFUW has over 100 clubs across Canada with more than 8,000 members.  Approximately 5,000 members make up the CFUW membership in Ontario across 54 clubs.

We seek to stimulate intellectual activity, guard and improve the status of women, promote the higher education of women and promote understanding and friendship among University women.

We are committed to improving the status of women and girls, promoting quality public education and advancing the status of women, human rights, justice and peace.

CFUW welcomes all women who support our goals.

SCHOLARSHIPS

As part of our commitment to empower women through the access to quality education and training up to the highest levels, we raise funds for scholarships supporting female high school students pursuing a post-secondary education, and for mature women resuming their formal education.  Interested?  Please see our Scholarships page for more information.
